Create QR codes with Exaactly

Home Blog Create QR codes with Exaactly

We’re excited to announce that you can now create QR codes with Exaactly – for free! So, what can you use your QR codes for? Here are just some of their uses…

Share your content

Use your QR code to share a huge variety of content with others, as you would with an Exaactly address. Add digital content to your Exaactly address in a variety of formats, download the linked QR code and share it with others (with a password, if the address is private). You can upload anything, from family photos to Google locations, and notes. The only limit is your imagination!

Locate lost items

Lost items can be easily recovered with the help of Exaactly QR codes. Create a QR code linked to an Exaactly address, download it and have it printed on stickers to go on your belongings. If an item is lost, the QR code can be scanned and will take whoever found the item to your Exaactly address. You can add content to your address that will help reunite you with your belongings. For example, you could include your contact details and information about any reward you’re offering for finding a bike or a piece of luggage.

Find precious pets

You can use Exaactly to help find a much-loved pet, if they get lost. Create a QR code for an Exaactly address and have it added to your pet’s collar. It will link to your Exaactly address, where you can add details – such as a telephone number and email address – for whoever finds your pet. They can then scan the QR code and contact you, quickly reuniting you with your pet.

COMING SOON

Contact forms

You’ll soon be able to create contact forms in Exaactly too. If someone finds your pet or belongings, they can scan your QR code and fill in a form to contact you. It’s a useful alternative to providing contact details.

Notifications

We’re also going to add a function where you can set up notifications for your Exaactly account. You’ll be notified when someone gets in touch about a lost pet or possession, even if you haven’t logged into your Exaactly account. Keep an eye on the website, where these new functions will be live soon!

Transfer your QR code

Handily, your QR code can even be transferred to someone else. This is useful if you sell an item, such as a bike, that already has your QR code on it. You can seamlessly transfer the ownership of the QR code and linked Exaactly locker to the buyer. They can then continue to use the QR code and add their own details to its linked Exaactly address.

How to create your QR code

  1. Log into your Exaactly account or sign up for a free account
  2. Go to the ‘Your links’ page – where you can turn your addresses into QR codes and store them
  3. Click ‘Generate link’
  4. Select the Exaactly address you’d like to create a QR code for
  5. A name will be automatically generated. Change this to something more memorable, if you wish
  6. Add a description
  7. Click ‘update’
  8. Download your QR code
  9. Share your QR code. If it links to a private Exaactly address, share your password too, so others can access the address
  10. If you’d like to transfer your QR code to another user, click the ‘transfer’ button. You’ll be given a unique reference and URL. Ask the other user to add the reference to the URL. Then go to the individual link page and accept their request

As you can see, there are loads of ways to use your QR codes. If you find any other uses for your QR codes, let us know!
